Frequently Asked Questions
-
It all starts with a brief call, about 10 minutes long, to discuss your event, your preferences, your allergies, and your needs. Based on that conversation, we create a 5- to 7-course blind tasting menu that’s fully customized and inspired by the finest local, seasonal ingredients.
On the day of the event, our team usually arrives about an hour before the meal with everything needed to cook on-site. We handle the service and present each dish, sharing the inspiration behind it, its ingredients, and the concept behind its creation. These interactions are an integral part of the experience and bring the menu to life throughout the evening.
After the last course, we’ll clean your kitchen before we leave. All you have to do is fully enjoy your guests and the experience.

A private chef brings the gourmet restaurant experience to the comfort and privacy of your own home. No need to travel, no need to arrange for a babysitter, no set time to clear the table, and no worry about disturbing neighboring tables if your conversations and laughter run a little late. You can fully enjoy your guests while we take care of the meal and clean up the kitchen.
Each menu is customized to your tastes, and allergies or dietary restrictions are taken into account from the very beginning of the planning process.
-
You choose the number of courses, and we'll discuss your tastes, preferences, and dietary restrictions. From there, you leave the menu planning to us.
Seasonal ingredients and new arrivals change quickly. The surprise menu allows us to adapt right up until the last minute, whether to replace an ingredient that’s no longer at its best or to take advantage of an exceptional new arrival. This flexibility lets us serve you what’s truly the best at the time of your event.
Hiring a private chef also means choosing to trust their expertise. Our role is to take care of the details for you, so you can sit back, relax, enjoy your evening to the fullest, and savor each dish as it’s served.

Our all-inclusive tasting menus are available for $150 per person for a 5-course meal, $175 for a 6-course meal, and $200 for a 7-course meal, plus tax.
The price includes the creation of a customized menu, sourcing and procuring the best local products, ingredients, preparation, plates, necessary equipment, additional cooks as needed, printed menus, service and presentation of each dish, as well as cleaning the kitchen. Travel within the Greater Montreal area is generally included.
All you need to do is provide the glasses, utensils, napkins, and decorations of your choice. Waitstaff can be added for an additional fee. For more distant locations, we’ll simply work with you to determine travel expenses.

We typically cater to groups of 8 to 40 people. For larger events, we can also adjust our staff and services to accommodate a larger number of guests. Smaller groups are also welcome, provided the minimum contract value of $1,400 is met.

We often create experiences for birthdays, dinners with friends, Christmas celebrations, marriage proposals, family events, weddings, corporate events, and chalet getaways. But this list is by no means exhaustive—almost anything is possible!
-
Yes. We adapt the menu to allergies and several dietary preferences, including vegetarian options. Please mention all restrictions when making your request so we can confirm possible adjustments.

Countertop workspace is the most important factor. The more uncluttered the kitchen is, the more efficiently our team can work. There’s no need to put everything away. The coffee maker can stay where it is! We simply ask that you free up as much space as possible by putting away items such as oils, salts, spices, and condiments, since we’ll bring everything we need.
Please also make sure there are one or two empty shelves in the refrigerator, some space in the freezer, and, if possible, a parking spot nearby to make it easier to unload our equipment.

We primarily serve the Greater Montreal area, Laval, Lanaudière, the Laurentians, and Montérégie, as well as the North Shore and South Shore. That said, almost no destination is too far for us. We love hitting the road, and every event is a wonderful opportunity to discover a new corner of Quebec. For longer distances, we’ll simply work out a travel fee with you.

Yes. Suggestions for wine styles that pair well with each course are included.
For $250, we can also work with sommelier Nicolas Baudry from Baumier restaurant to create a customized wine pairing for your entire menu, just like in a high-end gourmet restaurant. He will select the bottles and have them reserved at the SAQ Sélection location nearest you. All you’ll have to do is pick them up and pay for them at the store. The price of the wines is not included in this service.
Please contact us to discuss this.
